There are six native reptiles in Britain (excluding the marine turtles). Four of these can be found in Buckinghamshire. These are the adder, grass snake, common lizard and slow worm. More information on the rare sand lizard and smooth snake can be found via the links page.

There are seven native amphibians in Britain. Five of these are found in Buckinghamshire. These are the common frog, common toad, great crested newt, smooth newt and palmate newt. Again, more information on the rare natterjack toad and the pool frog can be found via the links page.
